Pre-diabetic Diet : Is That Necessary?

Pre-diabetes

Pre-diabetes is the condition when blood level is high but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. Experts say this condition should be timely diagnosed and treated to prevent it from developing into diabetes.

The best way to treat it is of course healthy life-style and pre-diabetic diet which can be either low-carb or Mediterranean.

People diagnosed with pre-diabetes are prescribed to lose up to ten percent of body weight and to get regular exercise at least twice a week. It is also recommended to monitor sugar intake and maintain healthy diabetic diet.
