Here are some unusual facts about Diabetes and lifestyle that you’re probably were not aware of until now.

  1. Put a screen saver on your computer such as “Get your 5-A-Day” to remind you to eat your daily allotment of fruits and vegetables.
  2. Use a Crockpot for high-fiber and low fat dishes. Try veggie chili loaded with beans or some other healthy meal that doesn’t require a bunch of cholesterol.
  3. Control how your meal is prepared; watch the salt content as well as sugar and fat content. Remember, you are the boss of your own kitchen.

  6. Plan your shopping lists around the essentials to good nutrition.
  7. Exercise while you watch your favorite show. It’s called “using one stone to kill two birds” (a proverb).
